For those who love to hoop it up while they splash around, First Team introduces the HydroShot STAINLESS STEEL adjustable poolside basketball system. The HydroShot's 4" square post and dual strut extension arm make a "tough as nails" poolside unit that will NEVER RUST!! No more flimsy, plastic models. The HydroShot will far exceed your expectations for a poolside basketball unit.
The HydroShot comes complete with your choice of three clear, professional looking acrylic backboards and breakaway rim. To adjust the unit, simply turn the crank handle positioned for easy access from the pool deck. The unit is infinitely adjustable from regulation 10' down to 6'6". An easy-to-read height indicator is provided as well.
Designed for commercial waterparks, the HydroShot also makes a first class residential poolside hoop. First Team's unique anchor bolt installation design allows you to easily relocate the unit if you ever need to. An anchor bolt cover is provided with each unit.

For a town park with unsupervised public access, would you recommend an acrylic backboard or tempered glass?
Definitely acrylic if unsupervised public access. Tempered glass is particularly susceptible to vandalism.
If I put away the HydroShot III when not in use, what would the connection point look like?
It is four bolts each sticking up approximately 3". You can leave the plastic cover sitting over top. However, the unit is heavy (around 250 lbs), so most people never remove it from the anchor bolts. You can do it, but it is not very practical.
What is the difference between Hydroshot II, Hydroshot III, and Hydroshot Select?
There is no regular Hydroshot. It is either Hydroshot II, Hydroshot III or Hydroshot Select. The difference is in the size of the backboard: 48", 54" or 60".
What is the difference between Hydroshot and Hydrochamp poolside basketball goals?
Hydroshot is far superior for durability - it's made durable enough to handle city pools and splashparks. Hydrochamp will hold up to residential level dunking just fine. Hydroshot has a longer extension/overhang and a better warranty. The most popular model is Hydrochamp Select. For backboard sizes, 60" is the most popular, followed by 54", then 48".

WARRANTY INFORMATION:
All First Team soccer and volleyball products are warranted against manufacturers defects at time of delivery. Additionally, First Team warranties most products to the original retail customer for a given period of time as stated in the literature. Below is an explanation of First Team's Limited Warranty for soccer and volleyball products. Any First Team warranty is granted solely to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable to any subsequent owner, lessee, or acquirer of the product. The warranty terminates automatically upon any resale or transfer of the product.
Limited Warranty:
Covers damage or failure that occurs during the course of "normal or intended use" of the product. Normal or intended use of the product shall be described as activity that is necessary for the participation in the sport for which the equipment is designed. Malicious or deliberate damage caused by vandalism is not covered under First Team's Limited Warranty.
Superior Warranty:
Covers any damage or failure caused by any type of soccer activity, contact with tthe unit or associated use of the product. "Associated use" of the product includes but not is not limited to transport of portable goals.
Any normal wear and tear caused by weathering or UV exposure is not covered under any First Team warranty. All painted items carry a one year limited warranty on coating.
