The Champ offers adjustability at an affordable price! The Champ's 4"x4" 11 ga. steel post is 50% heavier than any goal of its kind. Our one piece post design eliminates wobbling, rusting joints common with sectional type posts.

Our Insta-Just™ height adjustment mechanism allows the Champ to adjust from 10' to 7'6" in six inch increments. To adjust, use a broom handle to release the Insta-Just™ height regulator.

A variety of backboards and rims are offered with the Champ so you can choose the Champ package that's right for you. For additional safety, pole padding and backboard padding can be added to any Champ package.

Every Champ package comes with a Lifetime Superior Warranty.

The Best Built Unit for the Cost

I shopped around for a while to find the right hoop and this one worked perfectly. I chose the direct bury option so it does not detached from the concrete like others but I have no plans to move it or the concrete we poured for the new court. It is a solid 4" pipe, so no sections, which I liked better in order to have less wobble and remain stronger over time. The spring assisted mechanism works good because the backboard and rim are heavy duty and it allows an adult or teenager to adjust. But we also had the 3/8" acrylic, so with it and the solid frame it is going to be heavier which to me means better built. To me it was the best built unit for the cost and one of the few that offered 3/8" acrylic for the backboard. It has been a great addition to our backyard and we are looking forward to many years of enjoyment.

Will Last for Years to Come

I am very pleased with the Champ II basketball goal I purchased a few months ago. Instructions were easy to follow and product went together without any problems and was able to complete by myself. For a town park with unsupervised public access, would you recommend an acrylic backboard or tempered glass?

A:
Definitely acrylic if unsupervised public access. Tempered glass is particularly susceptible to vandalism.
Q:
What is the FT1104BP and what does it include?

A:
The FT1104BP is a 4" square bolt down post with a 3/8" thick baseplate and 4 support gussets welded at the bottom to allow the unit to be installed via an anchoring system. The vertical post is constructed of 11-gauge steel with black powder coat finish. Yes, the anchor bolts and template are included.

Warranty Information:

All First Team products are warranted against manufacturers defects at delivery. Additionally, First Team warranties most products for a given period of time as stated in the literature. Below is and explanation of First Team's warranty levels.

Limited Warranty:

Covers any damage caused by normal basketball activity and normal player contact with the goal. "Normal basketball activity" and "Normal player contact" shall be described as any action that is necessary for participation in the game of basketball. Deliberate hanging on the rim, multiple player hanging, and vandalism are not covered under the Limited Warranty.

Superior Warranty:

Covers any damage or failure caused by any type of basketball activity or related contact with the unit. This includes deliberate hanging on the rim. The Superior Warranty does not cover vandalism.

Unconditional Warranty:

Covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason. Any product carrying an Unconditional Warranty is exempt from the above stated limitations.

Any normal wear and tear caused by weathering or UV exposure is not covered under any First Team warranty. All painted items carry a one year limited warranty on coating.

Some basketball products carry a warranty valid only when used in a residential setting. "Residential" is defined as a "single family dwelling." Products coverd by this warranty stipulation are indicated in First Team's product literature with a "R" symbol next to the warranty. Under no circumstances shall any basketball product carrying a strictly residential warranty be covered for non-residential use.

Due to the abusive nature of amusement facilities, unless specifically agreed to in writing, First Team products carry no warranty except for obvious manufacturing defects when used in an entertainment facility where players pay a fee to use the equipment.
