The Legend offers exceptional rigidity, uncompromising durability and maximum safety even on the toughest courts!
Built from heavy 6" square, 3/16" thick steel tubing, the Legend provides unmatched stability and durability. Designed for the most rugged playgrounds, the Legend performs equally well on the home court. The post is positioned 66" behind the backboard for safety.
The extension arm on the Legend is attached to the vertical post via six 5/8" high tensile bolts. Though the Legend is considered a "Fixed Height" goal, the extension arm can be bolted at any height along the post.
First Team offers an array of backboards and rims with the Legend. Our Response™ tempered glass backboard offers the same look and authentic ball rebound enjoyed by college and professional players. Our popular Legend Dual packages add a second extension arm, backboard and rim to the opposite side of the post to maximize playing area on the playground.
For additional safety, pole padding and backboard padding are available for most Legend packages.
Every Legend package comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

First Team offers free custom lettering on most, but not all padding with the purchase of a complete system. Check the specific padding product page for lettering availability or call First Team for details.

For a town park with unsupervised public access, would you recommend an acrylic backboard or tempered glass?
Definitely acrylic if unsupervised public access. Tempered glass is particularly susceptible to vandalism.
What is the FT1104BP and what does it include?
The FT1104BP is a 4" square bolt down post with a 3/8" thick baseplate and 4 support gussets welded at the bottom to allow the unit to be installed via an anchoring system. The vertical post is constructed of 11-gauge steel with black powder coat finish. Yes, the anchor bolts and template are included.

WARRANTY INFORMATION:
All First Team soccer and volleyball products are warranted against manufacturers defects at time of delivery. Additionally, First Team warranties most products to the original retail customer for a given period of time as stated in the literature. Below is an explanation of First Team's Limited Warranty for soccer and volleyball products. Any First Team warranty is granted solely to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable to any subsequent owner, lessee, or acquirer of the product. The warranty terminates automatically upon any resale or transfer of the product.
Limited Warranty:
Covers damage or failure that occurs during the course of "normal or intended use" of the product. Normal or intended use of the product shall be described as activity that is necessary for the participation in the sport for which the equipment is designed. Malicious or deliberate damage caused by vandalism is not covered under First Team's Limited Warranty.
Superior Warranty:
Covers any damage or failure caused by any type of soccer activity, contact with tthe unit or associated use of the product. "Associated use" of the product includes but not is not limited to transport of portable goals.
Any normal wear and tear caused by weathering or UV exposure is not covered under any First Team warranty. All painted items carry a one year limited warranty on coating.
